What kind of content can I upload?
All types of content are supported. It will display regular 2D video and photo just like regular monitors, however it's main benefit is the ability to display 3D videos that appear transparent and holographic.
Do I have to be connected on my phone for it to work?
Nope! After you have uploaded all the content you want to be displayed you can disconnect from the fan. Your content will be saved on the fan and play continuously in a loop.
How does it work?
Holographic fans work by using the principle of POV (Persistence of Vision). Persistence of vision is the phenomenon by which the brain continues to perceive an image for a brief period of time after the image has been removed. In our case the holographic illusion is created by the rapid movement of the blades and the precise, careful control of the timing of the LED lights.
How durable is it?
The fan itself is very durable and rated to last up to 5 years of use, however the LED's and microchips on the blades are fragile and can break easily if scratched or hit hard. In our our experience the blades can usually survive a lot of trauma, even when dropped or interfered with when operating.
Can I travel easily with it?
Yes, the blades detach from the motor and break down into a compact box with foam padding. You can use this or your own box to easily travel and even take it on planes.
Is it waterproof?
No, our holographic fans are not waterproof, and we recommend keeping it away from water to prevent damage to the components.
Is there a limit to the amount of content I can upload?
No, there is no limit to what you can upload. Our fans come with a 16GB storage and this is usually more than enough for most people, however you can buy your own SD card with additional storage if necessary.
Are the blades and motor replaceable?
Yes, everything is replaceable so there is no need to buy a whole new unit. If one of your blades is damaged simply order a new blade and swap it out and everything will work!
