To make your videos display and appear transparent on the fan, simply set the background of your video or image to black and the black parts of the image will appear transparent. Black color does not show up on the display of the fan, hence how the holographic effect is created.

Yes, you can! As with any 3D video you upload to the fan, the background needs to be pure black in order to get the holographic effect. With this is mind, we would recommend having the person you would like to make a hologram of stand in front of a green screen and take a videos of them, then in post production edit out the green screen to a pure black background.

We recommend installing a free 3rd party video app that allows you to adjust the frame rate of your camera. You will want to adjust the frame rate of your camera to around 20-26 fps in order to capture the video clearly, without seeing disruption from the fan blades.
